Country Line Bar & Grill Reviews
We went on an early Friday evening, a party of 3 arriving at approx. 4:30pm which is a good thing, because the place gets really busy around 5:00pm. And by 5:30-6:00pm the place was packed. We had the catfish strips with 2 side dishes. It was excellent and a lot of food for $9.99. However, there appeared to be 2 (maybe 3 but the 3rd one left or stayed in the kitchen) waitresses who were waiting tables and taking care of the bar at the same time. Eventually another person did show up at the bar and began washing glasses. But with this many people to wait on and very little wait staff, once you get your food the service becomes obsolete. We had to go to the bar for more refills for our soda and tea (which we waited at the bar for that too). We had to ask another server for our ticket and a go box. And then we stood at the bar for 30 mins waiting to pay our bill behind 2 other families. It seems like the gentleman that was washing the glasses behind the bar was unable to check customers out. So, the busy waitresses had to stop waiting on customers in order to check the paying customers out. We overhead one of the waitress snap at the other that she couldn't read her writing nor does she have time to be checking out "her" customers because her own customers were waiting on drinks for too long. So, bottom line, the food is good and plenty from what we tried so far. BUT the service is lacking because there's just not enough to go around. If you have a couple of hours to eat, get your own refills and wait on that, and wait some more for your bill and even longer wait to try and pay...then it's well worth it. But you have been forewarned ....enjoy!
